International Holding Company

Auric

Auric is my formal studio and holding company for the work I build toward a maximally exciting, prosperous future beyond borders. It has existed since 2022 (although under different names / in different forms) and remains my long-term vessel for principles and international efforts.

What Auric is

Auric is a global holding company built around meaningful progress: infrastructure, health, university-scale education, space, and international relations. The public line is simple—turning science fiction into reality beyond borders— and the working standard is that profit funds the mission; it is not, and will never be the mission itself.

In practice, Auric is also my formal studio. Software systems, research programs, divisions/focused subsidiaries, long-term goals for humanity live under Auric when they are meant to last as company work rather than purely personal notes or one-off builds. If something is part of the long game, Auric is usually the home for it.

Ownership

Auric is wholly owned by me.

Holding role

Structured for long-term efforts (divisions or subsidiaries) and focused initiatives (projects) under shared values and standards.

How it works

Three layers

Auric’s operating model is intentionally small: pillars set direction, divisions run lasting companies, projects do bounded work. That is the whole structure.

01 · Direction

Pillars

The principles of Auric that divisions embody one or more of. They represent what Auric cares about. At the time of writing, the pillars are infrastructure, space, health, education, and international relations.

02 · Companies

Divisions

Divisions (or subsidiaries) of Auric focus on one pillar or field of work. Each can run many programs and is built to last in the long-term. Divisions are added when the work is long-term, important, and independent enough to stand on its own.

03 · Focused work

Projects

Narrow technical efforts to solve very specific problems, introduce very specific technical capabilities, often to enable other work. An example is Auric's Solara project, which is a Python + C program for running Auric web services.
